Dearest Mum, today was the first birthday without being able to hear your lovely chuckle when we sing happy birthday. We have had a real 'mummy tribute' day for you and I'm sure you were with us too - we've had a robin following us all day. We have been to the zoo, with our own animals in tow too (as always) Then we went to watch an animated film - you would have loved it. Then a carry out tea while watching masterchef! So wish we could give you a big hug, miss you dreadfully. All our love and hugs J&A xxx

I would like to thank everyone who attended the celebration of my dear Mum's life at Blacon Crematorium today. It was a difficult day in so many ways, but was managed with the love, warmth and support from all who knew her, for the family and each other. So many miles were covered to bring everyone together today, under a blue cloudless sky. As Tony, our humanist minister said, we can be sad for our loss but joyful for the richeness Lena brought to our lives - we are all most certainly better off for having been a being part of hers.

Extract from a poem by Henry Scott Holland I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant; it is the same as it ever was. Thank you ever so much for choosing to support the work of the British Lung Foundation by creating this Breath of Life Fund online tribute in loving memory of Helena. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing your page and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to. It has been designed to be a truly lasting tribute for perpetuity for future generations to see.
